Hannah Ennis Menswear is all about designing cherished pieces while honouring the process and materials they are made with.
Always exploring and collecting pre-loved textiles, I enjoy stumbling across colourful shirting with interesting patterns and love collating them into innovative colour schemes for new designs. Inspired by the Irish landscape as well as styling icons like the Guinness’ Garech Browne, I have fun creating colour palettes for new shirts and making the most of pre-loved shirting.
My knitwear is designed to bring joy while being very wearable all year round. Inspired by popular Dublin hangouts, the vests celebrate cherished traditions with friends and places that hold a special place in people’s hearts. The bright colours are a reminder to sunny days spent outside.
In my studio practice I aim to re-use and up-cycle every part of the textiles I repurpose, using the largest pieces of cotton for new shirts and the smaller offcuts are used to make lavender bags that come with every Merino wool jumper bought to protect the delicate knit.
